Are your doors fully customizable?
Yes! All of our iron doors are custom-made to match your preferred size, design, glass finish, hardware, and color. We also accept custom sizes and designs.
How can I order finish samples?

Does the glass window operable?
Yes, the glass window on the decorative iron entry doors are operable and can open for cleaning and ventilation. While the glass of iron French doors is fixed.
Are the screens removable?
Yes, the screens on our decorative iron doors are attached to the frame with magnets, so they can be easily removed whenever needed.
What is a thermal break iron door?
A thermal break door features an insulating barrier within the steel frame to reduce heat transfer, improve energy efficiency, and minimize condensation. We recommend choosing a thermal break door for homes in colder regions.
What is the low E coating on the glass?
Low-E (low-emissivity) coating is a microscopically thin, transparent layer applied to the glass surface. Its main purpose is to improve energy efficiency and help reduce UV exposure, which can protect furniture and flooring from fading.
What are the materials used for the iron door?
Our doors are built from 12-gauge heavy-duty steel, offering greater thickness compared to many standard options. They feature hand-forged detailing and are individually crafted for enhanced durability.
What is a transom and sidelights?
A transom is the window section located above the door. While sidelights are narrow glass panels placed beside the door.
How should I measure the door?
Door width is determined by measuring from the left jamb's edge to the right jamb's edge, while the height is measured from the bottom of the threshold nose to the top edge of the header jamb. For further details, please refer to our Measure Guide.
Does the door come prehung?
Yes, our door is prehung unit that includes jambs and threshold for easier installation.
Does the door come with brickmold?
The door comes with the frame and threshold. Brickmold (exterior trim) is not included.
Which door performs best in withstanding freezing cold weather?
All our standard iron doors are insulated for optimal energy efficiency. We highly recommend our Thermal Break Iron Doors, including thermal break wrought iron doors, and thermal break iron French doors, which are specifically designed to withstand harsh winter conditions.

What is the total expected cost, including shipping?
The price varies depending on the door size. The order price/quoted price is the final price, free curbside shipping within U.S. mainland.

Can I add screens for the french door?
Typically the screens would not be workable for french doors.
Will I receive updates throughout the production process?
Yes. After your order is placed, we will send the door drawing for your approval before production begins. During the production process, we will provide progress updates, including photos of the door frame and the painted door for your review and confirmation. Once the door is ready to ship, we will also send the shipping details. Please keep an eye on your email for updates.
Are wrought iron doors suitable for humid or coastal areas?
Yes, but doors exposed to high humidity, salt air, or frequent moisture require more regular care. Keeping the surface clean and promptly touching up any damaged finish can help protect the metal and maintain the door's appearance over time.
What does “left-hand inswing” mean for a double door?
Both door slabs are active and can be opened inward. When viewed from outside the home, a left-hand inswing configuration means the left door is the primary active door and opens inward. The right door can then be opened as the secondary door when a wider opening is needed.

Can I cancel my order?
If the CAD drawing has not been approved and production has not started, you may cancel the order and receive a full refund. Once the CAD drawing has been approved and production has started, the order is considered a custom production order, and a 50% production fee will apply to cancellation requests. Once shipment has been arranged or the order has been shipped, the order cannot be canceled. For more details, please refer to our Return and Refund Policy.
Can I pay a deposit instead of the full amount?
Yes. We accept a 50% deposit to start your order. The balancewill be due after we send the pictures of the painted door.
Shipping
Where do you ship to?
We offer free curbside shipping within the Continental U.S. Delivery is unavailable for remote locations (Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, etc.)
How long will it take to receive my door?
Once your CAD drawing is approved, the estimated total delivery time is approximately 14–16 weeks, or 98–112 calendar days. This includes approximately 7–8 weeks / 49–56 calendar days for custom production and approximately 7–8 weeks / 49–56 calendar days for ocean freight, customs clearance, and domestic truck delivery.
Will you provide advance notice before delivery so we can make the necessary preparations to receive the door?
Yes, we will provide advance notice before delivery so you can make the necessary preparations.
Once the door is shipped, we will send you the tracking number and shipping details. The trucking company will also contact you in advance to schedule a delivery appointment before dispatch.
How is the door delivered?
Each door is securely packed in a reinforced wooden crate with steel framing and industrial-strength protective wrapping to help prevent damage during international and domestic freight transit. Every door will be shipped by ocean freight and then delivered by domestic truck freight carrier. You will receive tracking information once the order is arranged for truck delivery, and the carrier will contact you to schedule the final curbside delivery appointment.
Do I need to help unload the door?
Our iron doors are heavy and may require 3–4 able-bodied people or a forklift to unload, especially if the crate is too large for a standard liftgate.
Installation & Warranty
Do you offer installation services?
We do not currently offer installation services. We recommend hiring a professional installer experienced with heavy iron doors.
Do you provide on-site measurement services?
We provide custom iron doors only and sorry we do not offer on-site measurement or installation services.
What is the recommended rough opening(RO) size for my door?
For proper installation, we recommend the rough opening size to be at least 1" wider and 0.5" taller than the door unit size.
What maintenance is required for iron doors?
All our iron doors are low maintenance. Periodic inspection and touch-up of any exposed metal or rust spots are recommended. Clean moving parts and avoid harsh chemicals to prolong the life of your finish.
What does your warranty cover?
We offer:
Structural components & welds: 3-year limited warranty (excludes misuse, unauthorized modifications, and acts of nature).
Finish: 3-year limited warranty under normal environmental conditions.
Glass & hardware: 1-year warranty.

Do you accept returns?
We do not accept returns or refunds for our customized products unless they arrive damaged, defective, or incorrect. Purchases made on Legend Iron Doors are considered final sale and cannot be returned, refunded, or exchanged due to their customized nature.

Do you provide touch-up paint if the door needs minor repairs?
Yes, we include matching touch-up paint with your door shipment for scratches or finish touch-ups that may be needed after delivery or installation.
Is the iron door installed from the inside or outside of the house?
Our iron door units are typically installed from the inside toward the exterior. The mounting tabs are positioned on the interior side of the door frame to secure the unit during installation.
Are the mounting tabs located on the inside or outside of the door frame?
The mounting tabs are located on the interior side of the frame. With our standard installation method, the door unit is positioned from the inside toward the exterior and secured through these mounting tabs.
How are your iron doors installed?
Our standard installation method uses mounting tabs welded to the door frame. We accept custom doors, If preferred, we can also pre-drill mounting holes in the frame for a different installation method.
